Confirming this in his Facebook page, accomplished journalist and public affairs commentator, Uche Ezechukwu wrote:  "The debate and its politics took the attention of many off the ailing former vice president. I can report that the much stabilized Dr Alex Ekwueme was flown out on Sunday morning and reached his destination by afternoon. He is well. Progress reports to follow as the family makes it available. Please discountenace all evil rumours. All is well."
