Bayelsa Ecumenical Centre

All eyes are now on Bayelsa State, as it plays host to some of the world’s renowned televangelists and gospel music icons, including popular American gospel singer and multiple award winner, Ron ‎Kenoly, who would be leading the pack.

The event, which would open on Tuesday with the dedication of the Bayelsa State Ecumenical Centre, a breathtaking edifice and worship centre, capable of sitting 10,000 people, is part of the activities to mark this year’s thanksgiving activities, one of the hallmarks of Governor Seriake Dickson.

The State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Daniel Iworiso-Markson, told journalists on Monday that the veteran gospel sensation would also perform‎ at the 2017 Annual thanksgiving of the state scheduled for Thursday November 2.

Iworiso-Markson, who said state had prepared everything to make both days a huge success, added that the General Overseer (Worldwide), Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch A. Adeboye would lead other anointed ministers of God to dedicate and commission the magnificent edifice, while another renowned cleric, Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai would ‎be the guest preacher for the thanksgiving day which would be preceded by a two day fasting and prayer.

Iworiso-Markson called on Bayelsans and others who reside in the state to come out en masse‎ and attend both events and added that it will also be beamed live on national and local television stations.
