Former military president, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida has been flown to Germany for a routine medical check-up.

This is contrary to media reports that the ex-leader was flown abroad for an emergency treatment.

A close source told Leadership that, IBB’s latest trip to Germany was a normal appointment with his doctor which was schedule before now.

It was gathered that IBB left the shores of Nigeria for Germany alongside his daughter, Halima Babangida, on Saturday morning at about 10am.

It would be recalled that the former military leader returned from Germany November 2014 after two months of treatment following a knee surgery.
