BREAKING: Nigeria records 790 new cases of COVID-19, as figure soars to 26,484

Cases of COVID-19, have continued on the upward swing with the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), announcing a fresh jump in the figure with another fresh 790, bringing its total infections to 26,484.

The NCDC, while giving update of the outbreak, which has been declared a global pandemic by the World Health Organisation (WHO), via its usual Twitter handle, indicated that the new cases were recorded across 20 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

However, this time around, Delta State took the lead with 166, displacing Lagos and Abuja, known to have usually topped the list, but still followed by Lagos with 120 new cases and Enugu with 66 cases.
