BREAKING: Buhari replaces Villa personal security boss *Musa takes over from Dauda

President Muhammadu Buhari announced Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Aliyu Abubakar Musa, as the replacement for Commissioner of Police (CP) Abdulkarim Dauda, Chief Personal Security Officer (CPSO), redeployed recently in the major security shakeup that swept through the Presidential Villa.

The major changes, was reportedly carried out after the security breaches, where some security men were said to have fired gunshots at the Villa during an altercation between aides of the wife of the Preseident, Aisha and her husband's nephew and Personal Secretary  Sabiu ‘Tunde’ Yusuf.

After a thorough investigation by the Inspector General of Police (IG), Mohammed Adamu, in which some of the officers involved in the imbroglio were detained, the President ordered a rejig of the Aso Rock security.

The appointment of Musa, who hails from Niger State, and who was before his new job, from Nigerian Police Force Zone 5, Benin City, was conveyed through a statement by presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu, on Tuesday

It read: "President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Aliyu Abubakar Musa, as his Chief Personal Security Officer (CPSO).

"DCP Musa, from Nigerian Police Force Zone 5, Benin City, as his last station, hails from Niger State.

"Musa’s appointment follows the redeployment of his predecessor, Commissioner of Police (CP) Abdulkarim Dauda."
