Donald Trump has tweeted a horrific photo of a bloodied corpse to attack his political rival Nancy Pelosi.

The President of the United States shared a photo of a man’s body draped over a metal fence on Monday morning.

The image is apparently that of an anti-government protester killed in Iran.

Metro has chosen to pixelate the image, which is too disturbing to share uncensored as President Trump did.

The original tweet which Trump shared said: ‘Question: Who in America supports this mullahs’ crime? ‘Answer : Nancy Pelosi #NancyPelosiFakeNews #IranProtests2020 #IranPortests’ (sic).

Trump made another jab at her by sharing a photo of Speaker of the House of Representatives Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer – another Democrat – in traditional Islamic dress.

That tweet claimed that the ‘corrupted’ Democrat Party of which Pelosi is a member want to ‘come to the Ayatollah’s rescue.’

He made two further blunders in other tweets sent Monday, misspelling Pocahontas as ‘Pocahontus’ while attacking Democrat Elizabeth Warren over her claims of Native American heritage.

The president also used the word ’eminent’ instead of ‘imminent’ in reference to why he ordered the death of Iran’s top General Qasem Soleimani, after claiming Soleimani was plotting to attack four US embassies.

Iran has been gripped by protests in the wake of last week’s shooting down of a Ukrainian Airlines Boeing 737 moments after it took off from Tehran, killing all 176 aboard.

Iranian government officials admitted accidentally shooting the plane down with a surface-to-air missile Sunday.

Those systems were armed after President Trump ordered the killing of Soleimani in a surprise drone strike a fortnight ago. Soleimani was blown up as convoy he was being driven in was targeted while leaving Baghdad Airport in Iraq.

Iranian officials got revenge by firing 22 missiles at military bases that house US soldiers in Iraq, although no-one was killed or injured. Iran’s admission it shot down the plane has led to huge protests calling for the resignation of the country’s hardline Islamic government.

Pelosi condemned Trump’s decision to order the assassination of Soleimani, and claims that in doing so he risks an all-out war between the US and Iran. Pelosi is expected to formally file articles of impeachment – akin to charges – against Trump on Tuesday, with the president repeatedly ranting about her throughout the impeachment process.

He faces allegations of abuse of office and obstruction of Congress over claims he asked Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate rival Joe Biden in return for $400m military aid and a White House invitation.

Trump denies the allegations against him. He is set to face an impeachment trial in the upper house of the US Congress, the Senate, later this month.

The Senate has a Republican majority, making it unlikely that the Democrats will get the two thirds of all senators needed to convict Trump and boot him out of the White House.
