In another raid on an illegal rehabilitation centre, police operatives have freed 15 inmates in Adamawa state, after discovering another illegal reformation home at a suburb in the state, in what is becoming a new trend in the North.

According to an eyewitness, men of the Adamawa State Police Command raided a house suspected to be habouring many people as hostages at Wuri-Hausa Yola town of the state and after raiding it, found over 15 victims illegally detained by an old man and young persons, serving as his monitoring agents.

Confirming the development, spokesman of the command, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Suleiman Yahaya Ngoroje, said the officers on intelligence surveillance raided the house on Tuesday evening, adding that more information will be gathered after further probe into the matter later today.

In the last fortnight, similar busts have been made in Rigasa area of Kaduna metropolis, where two of such incidents were recorded and Katsina, the home state of President, where another facility was raided and many inmates said to have been under heavy torture were rescued.
