The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), arrived Germany on Tuesday to brief the European Parliament in Brussels on the plight of the Biafran people of Nigeria, as part of his efforts to carve out the enclave as a separate entity from Nigerian.

The trip is said to be at the prompting of the members of the who invited the IPOB leader to participate in the proceedings at and also meet with some of the key leaders and members.

He was said to have arrived the European Parliament building in Brussels on Tuesday, September 10, after accepting the invitation of a few Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) and would use the opportunity to address the burning issue of IPOB agitation as well as what a “new Biafra” means for Africa.

Kanu had earlier taken to the micro-blogging site, Twitter to reveal that he had received an invitation from a few MEPs to grace the European Parliament.

The IPOB leader had said that he would during his time at the European Parliament, address “burning issue of IPOB agitation and what a NEW BIAFRA means for Africa.”

His words: “I’m glad to accept the invitation of a few MEPs to address the burning issue of IPOB agitation and what a NEW BIAFRA means for Africa.

“I look forward to leading IPOB in Europe to the historic encounter,” Kanu had tweeted on Thursday, September 5.
