BREAKING: APC WINS AGAIN: Lawan floors Ndume with 51 votes

With a total of 51 votes, Senator Ahmed Lawan representing Yobe North was on Tuesday, elected President of the Nigerian Senate, ending the dream of Borno Senator, Ali Ndume to lead the nineth National Assembly.

Ahmad, the choice of the All Progressives Congress (APC), defeated Ndume, also of the same party, who decided to go against its decision and refused to stand down for the 60-year-old Yobe Senator, was handed down a 79 votes to 28 defeat at the end of counting of votes on the floor of the NASS.
