BREAKING: Succour at last for Emma, homeless Mbaise man abandoned in US streets

Succour has finally come to the Nigerian man, forced into the streets in the US due to extreme poverty, after his shocking story made the rounds on the social media, eliciting various emotions both home and abroad.

The plight of the man, a native of Mbaise, Imo State, whose name was simply given as Emma, was exposed by a Nigerian entertainer based in America, Chinomso Prince Egbuchere, who spotted the him lying on the ground in Houston. 

The Mbaise community in the US, have rushed to his rescue with a full package to take care of his failing health, fully stabilise him and work on his papers, before determining whether he would return home or otherwise.

Another video, which has also gone viral, showed three men representing the community on a visit to the man, who claimed to have lived in the US for the past 35years, as he lay on his hospital bed, presenting a totally different picture to an earlier video clip, where he was seen sitting on the rough ground, nursing two swollen legs, as a result of a combined ailment of diabetes and high blood pressure.


The men, who appeared to be well-heeled Mbaise indigenes, who were seen interrogating him to get his full details of his predicament and background, were able to extract further information that his son in the US, whom he earlier claimed he had with a woman, who had obviously abandoned him to his fate, was actually living with another woman somewhere in the country.

Apart from his treatment and provision of his routine diabetic drugs, which he claimed he had not taken for months, because of lack of finances, Emma, who claimed that he was actually thrown out from a church, where he ran to and who also claimed earlier that he lived in a disused vehicle, was promised a home and travel arrangements, should he insist on returning to Nigeria.
