How two children and a dog get into a deep freezer where they were eventually found stone-dead, is what the police in Lagos, would soon be trying to unravel after the sordid and painful spectacle was discovered in the state, on Sunday.

Residents of Ikorodu, who had until recently, contended with the problem of a cult group known as Badoo Boys, were said to have woken up to the sad tale of one Mr Michael Edeh, a resident of the area, who was confronted with the eerie spectacle of his two children and their dog lying lifeless in a deep freezer.

The bizarre incident was said to have taken place, on Sunday, after the children, Emma Ede, 6, and Darasimi Ede, 4, slept in his bedroom with all the apartment’s doors securely locked, according to Lagos state police command spokesperson, Chike Oti, who confirmed the incident.

His words: “One Michael Ede came to the station to report that around midnight on Sunday, November 11, 2018, he and his two children, Emma Ede, 6, and Darasimi Ede, 4, slept in his bedroom with all the apartment’s doors securely locked. But unfortunately, when he woke up to urinate in the middle of the night, he could not find his children, but after searching for them, he found them dead inside the freezer.

“The corpses have been evacuated to the General Hospital. We are investigating the matter and we have arrested the kids’ father for questioning.”
