The scandal of forging her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), certificate, may have eventually consumed Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, who was said to have reportedly resigned from office on Friday.

Adeosun, who was appointed into office, in November 2015, by President Muhammadu Buhari Adeosun, has faced intense public opprobrium over the alleged fraud, which was broken by Premium Times, an online newspaper in Nigeria.

Nigerians at various levels, had called on her to quit office while asking Buhari to fire her on the contrary, saying her continued stay in office, had cast a slur on the government, which had prided itself on fighting official corruption.

Reports, however, said that the Minister from Ogun State, who was actually cleared by the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Senate, was said to have reported to the office on Friday, even while the news of her resignation was already making the rounds.

Details later.
