Eid-el-Kabir: FCT SWAN felicitates with Muslims, prays for lasting peace at glasshouse

As celebration hovers the air with Muslim faithful all over the world observing Eid-el kabir, Chairman, Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), FCT Chapter, Comrade Ndubueze Chidoka has congratulated sporting professionals especially members of the association within the Nation’s capital and the country at large.

Comrade Chidoka whose message was contained in a Press statement issued in Abuja noted that since the festivity signifies love, patience, tolerance and compassion, there is need for all to embrace and exemplify these virtues in line with the teachings Prophet Mohammed.

The FCT SWAN Leader who marked his auspicious birthday few days back however used the opportunity to call on well meaning Stakeholders within the Nigerian football fraternity to eschew bitterness and selfish pursuit in a bid to guarantee accelerated growth of the country’s round-leather game.

He added, “I greatly rejoice with Muslim Sports Writers especially our members who are already in Salah mood. They have kept faith by identifying with their spiritual obligations. I pray Allah grant you speedy answers to your desires."

On the returning peaceful atmosphere within Nigeria football following agreement reached between federal government and World governing football body, FIFA, as well as reconciliatory committee set up by Youth and Sports Ministry, the FCT SWAN Leader prayed God to give Nigeria football the desired sustainable peaceful proceedings.

The statement endorsed by Ikenna Okonkwo, FCT SWAN Scribe reiterated the readiness of the current administration of Nation’s capital SWAN to work harmoniously with all, as its members carry out their professional duties.
