Experienced Italian football coach Carlo Ancelotti has reportedly agreed a deal to replace embattled Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger at the end of the season.

Wenger will still have one year remaining on his contract at the end of the ongoing season, but the 68-year-old could reconsider his position if the Gunners end up without a trophy this term.

According to the report by Corriere dello Sport, Arsenal now have an agreement in place for Ancelotti to become their next manager this summer.

The former Chelsea boss will sign a four-year contract with the Gunners worth £8.7 million a season excluding bonuses.

Frenchman Arsene Wenger has faced lots of criticism from millions of Arsenal fans across the world as they are tired of his stay at the Emirates Stadium. Before the end of last season, many Arsenal fans stormed the streets of London to express their grievances about the reign of Arsene Wenger, but he later signed a new two-year deal.

This season, Arsenal fans are presently livid following Arsenal's elimination from the 2018 English FA Cup in which the Gunners were defeated by lower League side Nottingham Forest. Wenger is also said to be considering leaving the Gunners, but the former Monaco boss wants ex Gunner Mikel Arteta as his replacement.

Millions of Arsenal fans are tired of Arsene Wenger's tenure at the Emirates Stadium, and they were also livid last Sunday when the Gunners crashed out of the 2018 FA Cup. Mikel Arteta is currently doing well as an assistant to Manchester City boss
