President Muhammadu Buhari, took time once again on Sunday to visit his farm in Daura, his hometown in Katsina State, with a special appeal to Nigerians – Let us grow what we eat.

The official Twitter handle of the President @MBuhari shared photos of the President walking around the expanse of land which had sections for grazing cattle, growing vegetables and other fruits.

“I hope this will inspire one more person to take up farming,” the President, who took to farming years after being sacked as a military Head of State, said.

Reiterating his love for farming and enjoining other Nigerians to embrace his government’s agricultural policy aimed at local production of food throughout the country, the President Buhari, who had taken a similar visit last year, added his “vision is for a country that grows what it eats.”
