BREAKING: Again, suicide bomb attackers hit Borno *Kill five, injures 11

It was another sad day of multiple attacks on Wednesday, from suicide bombers believed to be members of the dreaded terrorist organisation, Boko Haram, who hit parts of Borno State, claiming five lives and injuring 11 others.

The figures, were released by the Nigerian National Management Emergency Agency (NEMA), which said the suicide bombers detonated explosives at three different locations in Muna area of Borno State the state, the hotbed of the almost decade-old activities of the group, which has claimed thousands of lives.

According to NEMA, the terrorists had targeted Muna Usmanti, Muna Garage and Muna Ethopia respectively in the attacks, which occurred around 4: 11 am, “led to 11injured and 5 death,” NEMA said. 

The dead persons include four suicide bombers and a member of security volunteer group known as Civilian JTF.

The spokesperson of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), North-East, Abdulkadir Ibrahim disclosed that response agencies including emergency workers from Borno State Emergency Agency (BOSEMA) promptly responded to the distress call.

Ibrahim said: “We have since taken the injured persons to hospital for proper medical attention while the dead bodies have been deposited in the mortuary.”
